Amul hikes milk prices by Rs 1 per half litre and Rs 2 per litre. Check the new prices.
On 2nd June, 2024, Amul increased its milk prices by Rs 1 per half litre and Rs 2 per litre.
Amul is managed by the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF), a cooperative body that comprises 3.6 million milk producers of Gujarat today. It is the world’s largest producer of milk and milk products. Amul was founded by Tribhuvandas Patel under the direction of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first deputy prime minister of India.

Consumers of Amul Milk are unhappy with the Company’s decision. They are expressing their anger on social media platform X . Some expressed their anger by stating that ‘What a coincidence that the price hike comes after the elections got over” while others said “Punishment by BJP before the announcement of results as Gujarat has voted against the BJP.The sudden price hike just after the Elections have negatively impacted the sentiments of the consumers.
